About
What is Angelic Tracker?
Angelic Tracker is an Old School RuneScape hiscores tracker which shows player gains in experience, levels, kills and activities
The tracker was made for the Angelic clan by Marisha
How does the tracker work?
RuneScape publicly hosts hiscores data for each player in the game if their rank is high enough
RuneScape also provides an official API to fetch hiscores data for a player
Every 2 minutes the tracker automatically fetches hiscores data from the official API for each player listed on the Players page
If the tracker detects any changes to a player's hiscores then it will store their hiscores as a data point in time
RuneScape hiscores only gets updated once the player has logged out of the game, so you won't be able to see any gains on the tracker while you're logged in
Gains
The Gains page will display all experience, levels, kills and activity gains within the selected time period
The Levels & Experience list is ordered by the most gains in Overall Experience
The Bosses & Activities list is ordered by the most gains in kills or activity count
Players
The Players page contains a list of all the clan members that have been added to the tracker
The Players page also lists some overall gains for each player within the selected time period
If a player wishes to stop being tracked then contact an admin of the Angelic clan to delete them from the tracker
Only admins can add or remove players from the tracker
Competitions
The Angelic clan often hosts competitions such as Skill of the Week
A competition can be for any single skill, activity or boss
Competitions come with a special mechanism where the tracker tries its very best to fetch all the updated hiscores data within the last 15 seconds of the competition end time
Make sure you log off at least 15-20 seconds before the end of the competition time otherwise your gains might not get counted!
Currently a competition can only be created by an admin of the tracker
Name Changes
An admin can update a player's name while keeping the pre-existing hiscores data points
The old name will merge into the new name if the new name already exists on the Players page
The tracker performs some cautious checks and will only allow a name change if there are no discrepancies in the hiscores data between the two names
There are mechanisms in place to recover if an accident is made when changing the player name
